Tharaka University, in collaboration with Reagan Publishing, London, successfully held a Short Story Writing Competition between February and March 2026, attracting a total of 53 entries from bona fide students across the University.
The competition culminated in an award ceremony held on Tuesday, 7th April 2026, to recognize and celebrate outstanding submissions.
The event was graced by Prof. Mary Karuri, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences; Dr. Timothy Kangori, Section Head of Literature; and Mr. Bonface Nyamwea, Regional Coordinator of Reagan Publishing, among other distinguished faculty members.
During the ceremony, the top ten participants were awarded monetary prizes, while all other participants received certificates of participation in recognition of their efforts.
The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences appreciates University Management, led by Prof. Peter Muriungi, for the continued commitment to nurturing students’ talents and shaping their professional futures.
